Key findings

The study examines right-wing and anti-democratic attitudes in Germany. In chapter 5, it discusses findings in respect to group-focused enmity, including anti-Muslim attitudes and hatred. It finds that 18% of respondents agree to a ban on immigration for Muslims.

Methodology (Qualitative/Quantitative and exact type used, questionnaires etc)

Quantitative (computer-assisted telephone interviews using a standardised questionnaire). The so-called "Centre study" (Mitte-Studie) has been regularly conducted since 2006.

Sample details and representativeness

Randomized telephone sample. N = 2.027 interviews (response rate 10.4%). Sample is representative for general population due to statistical weighting methods.
