Key findings

Annual activity report indicating great difficulties in relation to the scope of the powers of the service, which can only advise or assist victims. The support service cannot litigate and therefore cannot offer a comprehensive service in the case in which the victims wish to go to court.
The victim support service also reported:
- weak regulatory legislation, efficiency of anti-discriminatory legislation and practice, especially when it comes to punishing discriminatory agents and repairing the damage suffered by the victims.
- lack of awareness by the general population about the anti - discriminatory current legislation

Sample details and representativeness

Data collected refers to the period from the 15 March 2014 to 14 March 2015.

Together with the 21 offices of the project (apart from the office for general coordination at the headquarters of the organization in Madrid, 20 offices in the 17 autonomous communities and an office in the autonomous city of Melilla), they do collaborate by providing information and access to the Service 83 offices of 8 participating social entities.
