FRA cooperates and exchanges information with the EESC on a number of fundamental rights issues. They support each other in their respective roles to provide input into EU decision making, and also to reach out and embrace civil society organisations throughout the Member States to help make their voices heard at the EU level.
FRA regularly presents its work to the EESC and in particular to its Employment, Social Affairs and Citizenship section (SOC). The agency participates in numerous EESC meetings of the EESC to acquaint the committee with relevant findings in various areas of fundamental rights issues such as Roma, irregular migrants, combating violence against women and homophobia.
