Background

The original version of Charterpedia was created by the European Parliament's Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) Committee. The LIBE Committee handed it over to FRA, which is maintaining and further developing the tool.

Charterpedia aims at providing legal professionals, researchers but also interested individuals quick access to Charter-related information.

It is a tool in development. The case law is updated every year with the data collected by the Agency’s research network FRANET. The focus of Charterpedia is currently on case law, but further categories of information (for instance the use of the Charter in national legislative processes) will be added in the future.

Moreover, synergies with other Charter-related activities will be ensured. For details, see the FRA Charter resources and External resources pages.
