On 13-14 March, the FRA Director will take part in the high-level international conference “What Europe stands for: Growth, jobs and rights: will the European Union rise to the occasion?”, jointly hosted by the Presidents of the Italian and Greek Parliaments.
FRA will take part in the General Assembly Meeting of the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI) and in the 27th General meeting of the International Coordinating Committee of National Institutions for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights (ICC27).
FRA has officially assumed the role of the Chair of the EU Agencies Network on 1 March 2014. On 12 March, a formal hand-over meeting will take place at FRA with participation of the Directors of FRA, the European Railway Agency (ERA) and the European Foundation for Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound).
On 5 March, FRA will present the findings from the world’s largest survey on violence against women at the high-level conference “Violence against women across the EU: Abuse at home, work, in public and online” in Brussels.
The Council of Europe’s Parliamentary Assembly’s Committee on Equality and Non-Discrimination will visit FRA on 4 March and engage in a discussion with the Director and FRA staff on the work both organisations conduct in the area of non-discrimination and equality.
