FRA trains Hungarian immigration law enforcement authorities

FRA trained staff of the Hungarian National Directorate-General for Aliens Policing and representatives of the National Police Headquarters dealing with return/readmission in Budapest on 15 April.

The half-day training event took place and focused on the EU return rules and fundamental rights safeguards.

Some 45 participants attended. They were immigration law enforcement staff working at central and regional levels of the two return-enforcing authorities.

The content of the training drew from relevant FRA products, and practical tools and guidance. These included its handbook on European law on asylum, borders and immigration, its guidance on apprehension practices and fundamental rights considerations, as well as the latest overview of forced return monitoring systems across the EU.
