FRA reports presented to the European Parliament and Council

FRA Director Michael O’Flaherty presented two new FRA reports to the European Parliament and the Council.

He presented the main findings and recommendations of the report on Protecting human rights defenders at risk: EU entry, stay and support to the Council’s Working Party on Human Rights (COHOM).

Upon invitation from the Chair of the LIBE committee, the Director also joined the European Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson and the Executive Director of Frontex Hans Leijtens in an exchange of views on the migrant boat shipwreck off the coast of Greece. He presented FRA’s report on Preventing and responding to deaths at sea: what the European Union can do in the European Parliament.
