EU Migration Preparedness and Crisis Blueprint network meeting

On 5 March, FRA attended a Plenary meeting of the EU Migration Preparedness and Crisis Blueprint, a mechanism established by the European Commission for better monitoring and anticipating migration movements.

The aim of the meeting was to exchange information about current migration trends and expected migratory flows for the coming three months.

Members of the network are relevant EU institutions, Member States and EU Justice and Home Affairs agencies, including FRA.

FRA presented key developments in terms of fundamental rights for asylum seekers and migrants based on FRA’s forthcoming Fundamental Rights Report.

The Commission re-iterated the importance of FRA providing a fundamental rights perspective to the network and asked other actors to mainstream fundamental rights as well.
