FRA, in its role as member and secretariat, attended the meeting of the EU Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) Monitoring Framework on 8 September. Framework members - FRA, European Parliament, European Ombudsman and European Disability Forum - provided updates on their respective activities on disability.
The Framework also welcomed the European Commission to the meeting. There was an exchange on the implementation of the enhanced EU Strategy on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and the Commission’s next steps in respect of the evaluation of the Monitoring Framework - a comprehensive examination which took place last year.
