The information reflects the situation up to 1 August 2013. Updates are made based on subsequent developments as soon as FRA is aware of a change. Help Different visualisation tools This interactive tool offers different ways to explore the data. There are four main visualisation options: Map, Bar chart as well as Variable data table and Group data table that show the data for the selected variable and variable group. EU map The map visualisation presents an overview of the results for EU-28 EU bar chart The EU bar chart visualisation illustrates the results for all EU Member States and the EU average as a vertical stacked bar chart. Variable table The data table presents the data of the selected variable. Group table The data table presents the data of the selected variable group. How to explore the data The variables are divided into variable groups which can be accessed via the drop down selection boxes. Choose a variable group then a variable name from the drop-down list and the desired visualisation. How to export the data The export options can be found in the yellow export button on the top right hand side of each graphic. To export the visualisation as an image, choose one of Figure (PNG), Figure (High resolution), EPS (High resolution) or PDF (High resolution). To export the data for the selected visualisation in Microsoft Excel format, choose Data (XLS). To generate a Page URL, Embeddable HTML or a Page citation, choose the corresponding option. Technical requirements The FRA data visualization tool is designed to work in all modern browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 9+, as well as recent versions of Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari and Opera. If you are using an old browser such Internet Explorer 8 or earlier, we recommend that you either upgrade to version 9+ or use instead the latest version of one of the other browsers listed above. Time series The function presents the data of the selected visualisation time series. Table The European variable table visualisation illustrates the values of all answers per country in a vertical stucked bar chart. The European Union average is also provided for comparative reasons in the right hand side of the graph. Overview This view groups all answers together for a selected topic in one table. Variable summary This view provides the answers by country in a table. Notes FRA collected - through FRA’s multidisciplinary research network, FRANET - evidence on the situation of victims by carrying out comparative socio-legal research and analysis across all 28 EU Member States, examining the legal frameworks and support structures that exist in Member States. In addition to desk research, FRA also sent data requests to public authorities and victim support organisations to obtain certain information not publicly available, or to verify and clarify information; including the information presented in these tables. Research was conducted from January 2012 to August 2013.
