FRA Director to discuss antisemitism at General Affairs Council meeting

FRA’s Director will address the General Affairs Council on 14 December. He will present the overview of antisemitic incidents recorded in the European Union 2010-2020.

He will highlight FRA’s findings, showing that many Jews across the EU cannot live a life free of worry for their own and their family’s safety. The inadequate recording of antisemitic incidents, coupled with victims’ hesitance to report incidents to the authorities, masks the extent, nature and characteristics of antisemitism in the EU.

The Council of the EU’s General Affairs Council coordinates preparations for European Council meetings. It is also responsible for cross-cutting policy areas.
