FRA and the OECD will host the regional meeting of the OECD Civic Space Network for Public Officials at the Agency in Vienna from 18 to 19 March. The meeting responds to growing pressures on civic space and the increasing demand for open, transparent and accountable governance.
The Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) invited FRA to provide input on the fundamental rights implications of the proposed Return Regulation during its annual flagship event, the ‘Ideas Lab’.
FRA and EIGE presented selected results from the EU survey on gender-based violence at the meeting of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and UNICEF’s group of experts on statistics on children.
On 9 March, FRA Director presented the FRA report on the experiences of people with disabilities in the EU in institutions to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). The presentation took place in Geneva.

FRA Director joins justice ministers from across the EU at the Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) Council of the European Union in Brussels on 6 March 2026. She exchanges views on the Council's Conclusions on the application of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights outlining how to better promote the added value of the EU’s Fundamental Rights Charter.
The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) held its annual civil society week from 2 to 5 March, in Brussels and online. FRA contributed to a session on the implementation of the EU Strategy for Civil Society.

FRA will take part in a workshop on understanding and improving hate crime recording and data collection in Czechia. The workshop aims to support national authorities in reviewing their recording and data collection framework, identify gaps, discuss possible solutions and propose steps for improvement.
FRA will speak during a European Parliament hearing on 'Protecting and empowering civil society: strengthening support and ensuring transparency'.
The Agency’s Executive Board will meet online on 13 March.

FRA’s Director will travel to Strasbourg to participate in the Council of Europe High-Level Conference with Ombudsperson Institutions and National Human Rights Institutions. She will speak on a panel regarding the erosion of checks and balances.

FRA’s Director will present FRA’s report on violence against people with disabilities in institutions to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the opening of the Committee’s 34th Session.
The Handbook on European law relating to the rights of the child illustrates how relevant law and case law accommodate children’s interests and needs. Recognising children as full-fledged rights holders, it is a key reference on both EU and Council of Europe law.
On 24 February, FRA joined a technical meeting on Roma inclusion and empowerment as part of the programming process for the EEA/Norway grants in Bulgaria’s Local Development Programme.
Pavee Point and FRA held a national launch of Roma survey 2024 results for Ireland on 4 February in Dublin.
On 26 February, FRA addressed the opening panel of the conference TACTICS for Change: Systemic strategies for coordinated responses to domestic violence.
