The conference will discuss existing initiatives to protect and promote civic space holistically. It will look at possible initiatives to enhance the protection of civil society organisations and human rights defenders, to support and empower them in public policy making, and to effectively promote fundamental rights.
FRA will draw on its longstanding work on civic space. It will bring feedback from a seminar on supporting civil society through funding’, which FRA held with the European Commission in June.
The conference is on 16 November in Brussels.
