FRA joined the official online launch of the new European Commission Competence Centre on Participatory and Deliberative Democracy on 6 October. The centre provides services, guidance and tools to support the development of socially robust policy through citizen engagement practices.

Practitioners and policy makers discussed how the centre can strengthen citizen engagement and advance participatory and deliberative democracy across the Commission, other EU Institutions, as well as Member States and their regions.
