Στόχος του οδηγού με τίτλο Παιδιά που στερούνται τη γονική φροντίδα σε κράτος μέλος της
ΕΕ διαφορετικό από το δικό τους είναι η ενίσχυση της απόκρισης όλων των φορέων που είναι
αρμόδιοι για την προστασία των παιδιών. Η προστασία αυτών των κοριτσιών και αγοριών είναι
ύψιστης σημασίας και συνιστά υποχρέωση των κρατών μελών της ΕΕ, η οποία απορρέει τόσο
από το διεθνές όσο και από το ευρωπαϊκό νομικό πλαίσιο. Ο οδηγός επικεντρώνεται στα παιδιά
θύματα εμπορίας ανθρώπων και στα παιδιά που διατρέχουν κίνδυνο, υλοποιώντας μια δράση
που προβλέπεται στην Ανακοίνωση του 2017 για την εντατικοποίηση της δράσης της ΕΕ για την
καταπολέμηση της εμπορίας ανθρώπων, και λαμβάνει υπόψη τα προσδιορισθέντα πρότυπα,
όσον αφορά για παράδειγμα την έμφυλη διάσταση του συγκεκριμένου εγκλήματος.

Algorithms used in machine learning systems and artificial intelligence (AI) can only be as good as the data used for their development. High quality data are essential for high quality algorithms. Yet, the call for high quality data in discussions around AI often remains without any further specifications and guidance as to what this actually means.

Στην Έκθεση για τα Θεμελιώδη Δικαιώματα 2019 του FRA εξετάζονται οι σημαντικότερες εξελίξεις στον τομέα και προσδιορίζονται όχι μόνο τα επιτεύγματα, αλλά και τα ζητήματα που εξακολουθούν να προκαλούν ανησυχία. Ο παρών οδηγός εξηγεί τι είναι η κατάρτιση προφίλ, τα νομικά πλαίσια που τη διέπουν και τον λόγο για τον οποίο η νόμιμη κατάρτιση προφίλ δεν είναι μόνο απαραίτητη για τη συμμόρφωση με τα θεμελιώδη δικαιώματα, αλλά και καίριας σημασίας για την αποτελεσματική αστυνόμευση και διαχείριση των συνόρων. Ο οδηγός παρέχει επίσης πρακτικές οδηγίες σχετικά με τρόπους αποφυγής της παράνομης κατάρτισης προφίλ στο πλαίσιο αστυνομικών επιχειρήσεων και επι-χειρήσεων διαχείρισης των συνόρων.
