Workshop discusses Roma discrimination in Central and Eastern Europe

FRA joined the international ‘Discrimination against Roma people in Central and Eastern Europe’ research workshop, organised by the Budapest Institute.

The workshop is part of the EU-funded Equalstrength research project, led by University College Dublin. The project explores discrimination and prejudice against ethnic minorities in Europe (including Roma) in access to childcare, housing and employment, using correspondence testing.

The workshop took place from 26 to 27 March in Budapest.

The research findings are consistent with FRA’s surveys results on experiences of Roma and other minorities with discrimination when accessing various life domains.
