FRA participates in European Rule of Law Conference 2025

FRA spoke during the concluding panel of the European Rule of Law Conference 2025 in Berlin that ran from 15 to 16 September. It was part of the Re:constitution project and brought together legal practitioners, policy consulters and experts across disciplines discussed for two days to discuss how to best address the ongoing democracy and rule of law crisis in the EU.

FRA contributed to the consultation for the European Commission’s rule of law report 2025 and has recently submitted its contribution to the update of the Rule of Law Checklist of the Venice Commission.

Currently, FRA is working on a report that analysis how human rights are used in national case law to protect and promote the rule of law.

By the end of this year, FRA will publish a report on a rule of law aspect of better law making, namely the role of human rights impact assessments at national and EU levels.
