The meeting is a regular event organised since 2009. It is a forum for civil society, Member States and international organisations to discuss policies and developments.
The meeting, organised under the Hungarian Presidency of the EU Council, focused on Roma equality, inclusion, and participation in territorial planning and development.
The Platform meeting was followed by the regular National Roma Contact Points meeting on 2 October.
Representatives of Member States provided updates related to Roma inclusion in their countries. They also learned about a feasibility study on a school desegregation intervention in Slovakia and recent report on the implementation of National Roma Frameworks published by the European Commission in September.
