In 2023, the Agency will launch its 3rd LGBTIQ survey. It will collect the experiences of discrimination and hate crime, as well as the views and challenges faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex and queer people in 30 countries (EU, Albania, North Macedonia and Serbia) and 31 languages.

FRA, together with the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE), will carry out a survey in eight EU Member States to interview women concerning their experiences of violence. The survey will collect data on experiences of physical, sexual and psychological violence, sexual harassment and stalking, as well as violence experienced during childhood. The survey also captures elements of online abuse.

The project will provide evidence-based advice to EU institutions and Member States on procedural safeguards for persons requested in the European Arrest Warrant proceedings. FRA will collect information through a combination of desk research and interviews with lawyers, judges and prosecutors.

The current project builds on the existing FRA database to provide updated and new information on standards of conditions of detention in EU Member States, which can assist judges dealing with European Arrest Warrant (EAW) requests in their assessment of whether detention conditions comply with the prohibition of inhuman or degrading treatment. FRA will collect data through desk research and will closely cooperate with relevant monitoring bodies.

This project analyses online hatred in selected EU Member States through collecting and analysing incidents of sexist and racist hatred expressed on selected online platforms.

With European populations rapidly ageing, this project focuses on how older persons can fully participate in an inclusive and digitally just society for all. The research will take into account key EU policies, including the Pillar of Social Rights and the European Digital Agenda, examining how older people can enjoy their right to access public services which have undergone or are undergoing digitalisation.
