Duties

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following tasks:

  • Provide legal and policy analysis on EU fundamental rights issues and international human rights standards relevant for the jobholder’s area(s) of work. Draft high-quality documents for publication;
  • Support the analysis of EU legal dimensions of fundamental rights issues and provide legal advice on EU law with regard to the Unit’s activities; Undertake research and draft reports on EU fundamental rights issues, based on legal analysis and data collected by the Agency;
  • Carry out or contribute to projects from development and planning through to implementation and oversight of the project stages, ensuring the overall quality of deliverables and supporting the coordination of the project team;
  • Support contract management and the drafting of technical specifications for contracting external work;
  • Draft fiches, briefings, presentations or talking points on legal themes and provide legal input to other fiches or projects;
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders in relation to the thematic areas of the Unit’s on raising awareness concerning results;
  • Promote the Agency’s work and disseminate project findings through various means and channels, including conferences, workshops, webinars, and different events, at both EU and national level.
