Roma study visit to Ostrava

FRA joined the EURoma Network study visit to Ostrava that focused on housing and residential desegregation. The study visit focused on the Social Rental Agency (SRA) model as implemented in Ostrava and the surrounding region with its two key elements. These were housing mediation on the private market and social support for tenants.

FRA presented new handbook at the Frontex Management Board

On 18 June, FRA presented the updated FRA-ECtHR handbook on European law relating to asylum, borders and immigration published in June 2026 at a meeting of the Frontex Management Board, informing delegations that in the coming weeks printed version in five language versions, namely English, French, German, Greek and Italian will be available.

Inter-institutional meeting underlines importance of National Independent Monitoring Mechanisms under the Pact on Migration and Asylum

On 11 June, FRA, together with the Frontex Fundamental Rights Office (FRO), the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI) and the Council of Europe’s Division on Migration and Refugees (DMR), co-organised an inter-institutional meeting to support the operationalisation of national Independent Monitoring Mechanisms (IMMs) under the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum.
