The Forum aims at strengthening the quality, recognition, and outreach of education for democratic citizenship and human rights education with young people.
At the event, the findings and conclusions of the review of the Council of Europe’s Charter on Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education will be discussed with all stakeholders.
During the Forum, FRA will also take part in a meeting of the International Contact Group on Citizenship and Human Rights Education. The Group brings together representatives of the Council of Europe, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, UNESCO and the European Commission.
The Forum runs from 11 to 13 April in Turin. The Council of Europe, the Universal Civic Service of the Italian government jointly organise the event, in cooperation with Amnesty International, the City of Turin, the National Youth Council of Italy and the European Youth Forum.
