Challenges facing Data Protection Authorities in implementing the GDPR

On 15 May, FRA presented its research on the challenges faced by Data Protection Authorities in implementing the EU General Data Protection Regulation, six years after its entry into force, at the Spring conference of European Data Protection Authorities in Riga.

FRA introduced the scope and objectives of the report during a panel discussion on cooperation among Data Protection Authorities.

The report highlights the practical challenges they face when it comes to enforcing the GDPR. It introduces close to 40 promising practices to address these challenges. It will serve as a practical tool to better disseminate good practices and foster the cooperation among authorities.

FRA will launch the report on 11 June at the Privacy Symposium.
