FRA presented key findings from its upcoming report on remote biometric identification for law enforcement purposes at the Biometrics Cluster meeting of the EU Innovation Hub on Internal Security. FRA drew on its research during the discussion.
It focused on the fundamental rights implications of remote biometric identification and the safeguards needed to ensure its fundamental rights-compliant use by law enforcement authorities.
