FRA joined an online technical exchange on 28 May on policies for protecting Roma people. The meeting was a follow up to the EU-Brazil Human Rights Dialogue.

FRA contributed to the launch event of a publication on civic space monitoring for an EU-funded civic space monitoring initiative called “PROSECO project (Empowering Ecosystems of Civil Society Organisations in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Slovenia).

The housing crisis, rising levels of homelessness, labour exploitation, and threats to people’s rights online. These are some of the challenges highlighted in FRA’s Fundamental Rights Report. The report examines threats to rights and the EU’s founding values, in areas like democratic lawmaking, digital governance, internal security and the treatment of migrants. Amid global political instability and security threats, this report is a call to the European Union and Member States to protect fundamental rights and to reinforce democracy.

The European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) will move to its new climate-friendly headquarters on 1 June 2026. FRA's new premises are located at Rennweg 12 in Vienna, in a building shared with the European Patent Office (EPO).

The FRA Director Sirpa Rautio took part in a seminar of the Swedish National Human Rights Institution (NHRI), focusing on the protection of human rights in times of crisis.

FRA contributed to training organised by the European External Action Service (EEAS) on protecting human rights defenders by enabling them to seek safety in the EU.
