FRA lectured a leading training course on AI and international law

FRA delivered a lecture on 23 April in The Hague on AI and fundamental rights as part of the 2024 Spring Academy on AI and International Law, convened by the TMC Asser Institute.

It formed part of the one-week long training course which attracted some 25 participants from human rights institutions, international organisations, public administrations and academia.

FRA spoke about its findings and brought in fundamental rights views into the discussions around regulating AI under international law.

FRA drew from relevant FRA materials, such as its papers on discrimination and algorithms, and on facial recognition technology. It also covered its reports on Artificial intelligence and fundamental rights and on bias in algorithms.
