On 14 July, FRA will take part in a public hearing with the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) on closing implementation gaps in EU Equality Directives and reviving the Horizontal Equal Treatment Directive Proposal.
The hearing will examine outstanding challenges in implementing EU equality law, assess recent developments concerning equality bodies, and discuss how equal treatment and anti-discrimination protections can be reinforced through stronger enforcement and political engagement.
