EU gender-based violence survey results presented to UN experts on statistics on children

FRA and EIGE presented selected results from the EU survey on gender-based violence at the meeting of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and UNICEF’s group of experts on statistics on children.

The group of experts discussed progress on developing a minimum set of indicators on children exposed to violence, children in alternative care, and children with disabilities. The group also discussed a proposal to develop the measurement of mental health of children.

The meeting of the group of experts was followed by a meeting of the TransMonEE network of national statistical institutes to strengthen the coverage, quality, disaggregation, accessibility and use of data on children.

The meeting took place in Geneva from 4 to 6 March.
