FRA will host a social rights roundtable from 8 to 9 October at its premises in Vienna. It will bring together institutional and academic experts to take stock of current state of play in EU law, policy and data.
It will explore challenges and opportunities for a human rights‑based approach in light of current political trends and to reflect on the current and the future role of FRA in the realm of social rights.
To ensure a concrete focus, the roundtable will consider challenges in two selected areas poverty, and access to adequate and affordable housing. They will be explored to assess relevant legal and policy frameworks, identify evidence gaps and define areas for FRA research and advice and cooperation, in view of its role, mandate and resource limitations.
