FRA attended the 8th International Border Management Conference co-organised by the Dutch Ministry of Asylum and Migration and the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD).
FRA spoke on a panel on embedding human rights in border management operations.
FRA focused on the use of large-scale IT systems, and the opportunities and risks they create for fundamental rights. It informed the audience about its recent guidance on the Entry-Exit System for border guards and for managers.
The conference ran from 18 to 19 November in Amsterdam.
