The programme will look at the potential of the EU’s Fundamental Rights Charter for national human rights bodies. It will also cover the use of the Charter by the EU’s Court of Justice, the new EU Charter Strategy, the Commission’s new funding programme for capacity building at the national level, and much more. Focussed sessions will deal with the use of the Charter in equality law, strategic litigation, and in tackling Rule of Law related challenges. A train-the trainer module will provide potential multipliers with hands-on exercises on using (digital) interactive tools and case studies to deliver Charter workshops. FRA experts will use and explain the Agency’s Charter resources including the Charter Handbook available in all official EU languages. Furthermore, the seminar provides an opportunity to present the new FRA Charter e-learning courses. The seminar will run from 20 to 22 October.
