FRA will host a symposium on access to justice in the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive. It was organised together with the Danish Institute for Human Rights, the German Institute for Human Rights and the French National Consultative Commission on Human Rights, in collaboration with the European Network of National Human Rights Institutions.

This two-day event brings together experts from across the EU to discuss and explore critical issues surrounding access to justice within the framework of the Directive, including the Omnibus developments.

There will be in-depth explorations of the three key areas of the Directive: the civil liability mechanism, the procedure for addressing substantiated concerns by Supervisory Authorities, and company grievance mechanisms. Further, it covers issues related to the extraterritoriality of claims.

Over 60 participants from most EU jurisdictions, National Human Rights Institutions, international organisations, academics, etc, will attend.

The symposium takes place in Vienna from 7 to 8 April.
