On 2 September, the Presidency of the European Economic and Social Committee’s (EESC) Permanent Group on Fundamental Rights and the Rule of Law will visit FRA. They will meet with the Agency’s Director and FRA experts.
FRA and the EESC share complementary mandates to strengthen the EU’s work on fundamental rights, combining FRA’s independent, evidence-based expertise on fundamental rights with the EESC’s role in representing organised civil society and contributing its perspectives to EU policymaking.
The Committee also participates as observer in the work of the FRA-run Fundamental Rights Platform.
During the biennial meeting, participants will take stock of the FRA-EESC ongoing cooperation. They will examine methods for exchanging information and expertise to strengthen the evidence-to-policy-to-civil-society link, and explore synergies and efficiencies across various thematic areas.
