This Statement constitutes a distillation of the wisdom of the Forum that can serve as an important resource to be used by law and policy makers as well as all other stakeholders and rights holders and outlines important elements of the path towards a European Union in which fundamental rights are enjoyed by all.
Fundamental Rights Forum - Chair's Statement
The Fundamental Rights Forum 2016 met in Vienna from 20-23 June 2016. Entitled Rights, Respect, Reality: the Europe of values in today’s world, it addressed the European Union’s pressing fundamental rights challenges. It also exchanged promising practices to better protect and promote human and fundamental rights in Europe. The Chair’s Statement captures the spirit and many of the suggestions made at the Forum.
