Many LGBTI people across Europe experience discrimination, harassment and even violence. It forms part of their daily reality.

On 17 March in Brussels, FRA and the European Commission will host a conference to look into the issue.

At the ‘Pride versus prejudice: LGBTI people in the EU today’ conference, FRA will present findings from its LGBTI survey. It was the biggest ever EU-wide survey on LGBTI hate crime and discrimination.

Around 140,000 LGBTI people shared their stories. It will provide invaluable insights into their everyday experiences across different areas of life.

The European Commission will also present the final report of their List of Actions to Advance LGBTI Equality.

Taken together they will contribute to discussions on future responses to address the needs and rights of LGBTI people.

The event will also be live-streamed.
