On 14 December, experts from the European Commission, academia and civil society organisations will discuss ways of improving criminal proceedings for children who are in conflict with the law

The discussion will be based on findings from Terre des hommes’s report ‘Children in Contact with the Law in Europe: Trends and Opportunities’. FRA will present key opinions from its reports on child-friendly justice and mapping minimum age requirements. It will also talk about its current research on procedural safeguards for children in criminal proceedings.
