The drafting groups are made up of representatives from the European Commission, Member States, civil society, the UN Refugee Agency and FRA.
The aim is to develop standards and indicators to support Member States. They will use them to assess and improve the reception conditions of asylum seekers, and to consider vulnerabilities in the context of asylum procedures and in reception.
The meetings took place in Brussels from 9 to 12 October.
The final list of standards and indicators will be discussed by the EUAA Management Board at the end of November. These will feed into the EUAA monitoring of Member States starting in 2024.
