At the meeting, discussions between civil society and inter-governmental organisations will focus on the impact of national security and counter-terrorism laws and policies on the protection of human rights defenders, as well as the obstacles to civil society participation in the works of inter-governmental organisations.
The meeting will be hosted in Warsaw by the OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR). It runs from 18 to 19 September.
It is being organised by the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) and the World Organisation Against Torture (OMCT) and the Observatory for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders.
