Presidency conference debates rule of law and fundamental rights

The Portuguese national school for recruiting and training judges and public prosecutors is organising a conference on the rule of law and fundamental rights. It will focus on national implementation of the EU’s Fundamental Rights Charter.

It will also look at the role of both the Court of Justice of the EU, and national courts and tribunals. FRA will provide evidence and analysis on how the Charter is being used nationally. The event falls under the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU. It addresses judges, public prosecutors, lawyers, and the Portuguese legal community. It will take place on 21 May.
