Allerdings verfügen ältere Menschen manchmal nicht über die notwendigen digitalen Kompetenzen, um sie nutzen zu können. Dies stellt ein potenzielles Hindernis für die Ausübung ihrer Grundrechte dar. Es kann sie benachteiligen und birgt die Gefahr, dass sie von unseren digitalisierten Gesellschaften ausgeschlossen werden, warnt ein Bericht der EU-Agentur für Grundrechte (FRA). Die EU-Länder müssen den Zugang aller zu öffentlichen Dienstleistungen sicherstellen. Ältere Menschen sollten selbst entscheiden können, wie sie öffentliche Dienstleistungen nutzen und Unterstützung beim Erlernen digitaler Fähigkeiten erhalten.

On 5 September, FRA delivered an online presentation on fundamental rights for Europol’s guest officers who will be deployed in Italy, Romania, Hungary and Lithuania.

Untersuchungen der EU-Agentur für Grundrechte (FRA) zeigen jedoch, dass der Status der langfristigen Aufenthaltsberechtigung in der EU, der diese Rechte gewährt, nicht ausreichend genutzt wird. Die FRA fordert die EU und die nationalen Behörden auf, die Vorschriften zu vereinfachen, Hindernisse zu beseitigen und die Inanspruchnahme des EU-Status zu verbessern.
Whether it happens in football, in the office or on the way home, sexual harassment and violence against women are commonplace in the EU. It is time to show this human-rights abuse a red card. The EU Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) calls on EU countries to effectively tackle harassment and violence against women. At the same time, they should better protect women and provide more support for victims.
