Access to justice for exploited migrant workers

FRA attended the International Organization for Migration's International exchange on access to justice for migrant workers subject to labour exploitation.

FRA gave a presentation on key barriers and opportunities for improving access to justice for victims of labour exploitation. It drew on its report on Protecting migrants in an irregular situation from labour exploitation – Role of the Employers Sanctions Directive.

It also signposted its upcoming manual for labour inspectors on EU safeguards for non-EU nationals. The manual is due to be published in 2024. The meeting ran from 13 to 14 September in Madrid.
