FRA presented its work on antiracism and anti-Muslim hatred to the Council of the EU’s Working Party on Fundamental Rights, Citizens' Rights and Free Movement of Persons (FREMP).
FRA joined the 2nd meeting of the Council of Europe’s Expert Committee on AI, Equality and Discrimination from 25 to 26 September in Strasbourg. The Committee discussed a draft recommendation on AI and Equality.
FRA took part in meetings of two projects focusing on training guardians of unaccompanied children. The online meetings took place on 17 September and 2 October.
FRA’s Director will meet the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk on 30 September at the Agency.

FRA will speak at the European Social Network’s annual meeting in Bucharest, taking place from 30 September to 1 October. The seminar will focus on fostering effective coordination between universal and specialist services to ensure an integrated approach to child protection.
On 20 September, FRA attended the closing Cooperation Committee meeting under the EEA and Norway Grants in Czechia’s Programme on Human Rights, Roma Inclusion, and Domestic and Gender-based Violence. The committee discussing the final stage of the programme’s implementation.
FRA presented its work on artificial intelligence and fundamental rights at a meeting of the ENNHRI AI Working Group.
FRA presented key aspects of the nine building blocks of its new guidance on independent monitoring mechanisms under the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum to a European Network of National Human Rights Institutions (ENNHRI) working group.
FRA’s Executive Board and Management Board will convene on 27 September.
FRA was invited by the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the EU to speak at a conference on ‘Fundamental rights in the age of AI’.
FRA joined a panel on effective prosecution of antisemitic incidents and the role of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance definition of antisemitism. It formed part of a meeting of the European Commission Working Group on antisemitism.
FRA will deliver a keynote speech at a symposium organised by the Austrian Parliament to mark the adoption of the new EU Directives on standards for equality bodies. FRA will speak about the role of equality bodies in providing access to justice for victims of discrimination.
FRA will present the EU Fundamental Rights Charter and related tools and material to an online training session on 25 September. The Netherlands Helsinki Committee in cooperation with the European Center for Not-for-Profit Law Stichting (ECNL) is organising the CERV-funded training.
FRA’s Director delivered a keynote speech in the opening panel of the 28th Annual Conference of the European Network of Ombudspersons for Children. The focus was on protecting and promoting the rights of children in alternative care.
On 20 September, the Presidency of the Council convened a training session on the implementation of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights. Around 80 Councillors had registered for the training event.
On 17 and 18 September, FRA attended a seminar organised by the UN Refugee Agency and the Czech Public Defender of Rights.

The General Conference of the European Coalition of Cities against Racism (ECCAR) will take place in Heidelberg from 23 to 25 September.

FRA will take part in the UN Summit for the Future Action Days side event on empowering the future, making social rights of youth real. The Council of Europe organised the event that will take place on 20 September in New York.
On 20 September, there will be an awareness training session on the implementation of the EU’s Fundamental Rights Charter. FRA will introduce the EU Charter and its implications for EU legislators.
On 18 September, FRA hosted an online roundtable to discuss the findings of its project on the fundamental rights implications of the EU’s Entry Exit System.
