FRA will focus on its engagement with civil society and civic space issues, including human rights defenders. It will draw from its report Protecting civic space in the EU and its European Union Fundamental Rights Information System.
FRA will also talk about its work on equality, as well as the situation of fundamental rights arising from the war in Ukraine. Here it will refer to FRA’s findings from the border visits and its first Bulletin on ‘The war in Ukraine - Fundamental rights implications within the EU’. This includes information on the challenges people fleeing Ukraine face related to accommodation and reception, as well as issues like trafficking and child protection.
The meeting will take place in Vienna on 17 June.
