FRA presented its activities related to the fundamental rights impact in the EU following the aggression in Ukraine. It also covered key findings of the second Ukraine Bulletin, which will be published on 21 October. The presentation focused on good practice examples and remaining challenges in access to employment, accommodation and education.
FRA also mentioned the way EU Member States and the EU have proven their capacity and willingness to host such an unprecedented number of people should set standards for future migration movements. Displaced people in need of protection should receive the same welcome and fair treatment – regardless of their ethnicity, skin colour or religion.
The conference aimed to give EMN Member and Observer States the opportunity to share experiences of applying the Temporary Protection Directive. It was also a chance to discuss learned lessons and to discuss ways to move forward.
