The member of parliament posed a question regarding the proposition of a regulation by European Commissioner Kroes COM(2013) 627, which provides that operators can block websites without intervention of the police or the court in order to prevent crimes. The member of parliament stated: ‘Internet censorship needs to be dealt with very carefully given the freedom of expression and information as provided in article 11 of the Charter of fundamental rights of the European Union.’
