On 13 November, the Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) hosted its first Fundamental Rights Dialogue - a virtual event that gave young people an opportunity to voice their fundamental rights concerns and discussed ways to solve them with FRA's Director Michael O'Flaherty.

The recording of the dialogue in German is also online.

The main discussion topics were:

  • How to make sure that everyone can enjoy fair and equal access to education, jobs and healthcare?
  • How to tackle hate speech, racism and disinformation, especially online?
  • How to reduce divisions and help everyone take part in society?

The Dialogue took place on 13 November 2020, from 16:00 to 18:00 CET. It was in German and English, with live interpretation and captioning.

Anyone can join by registering online before or even during the event. The discussions will also be livestreamed on Youtube and Facebook.

The outcome of the Dialogue will feed into the discussion at the upcoming Fundamental Rights Forum in October 2021 – a high-level event that brings together people who strive to make sure that everyone in the EU can enjoy their rights.

So, join the dialogue & have your say about fundamental rights in the EU!
