    This research was based on pairing the aggregated data of the Croatian Institute of Public Health from public health databases and registers (health data) with data of the Ministry of Interior Affairs (ethnic data) with the objective of informing public health policies relating to the health of the Roma population. This research is the first research based on combining nationally representative healthcare data and ethnic data in Croatia.

    Every two years, the Plenipotentiary of the Government of the Slovak Republic for National Minorities (PGNM) prepares a report on the standing and rights of national minorities, and a report on the use of national minority languages, to map the development of use of rights of national minorities. Both reports are publicly available and approved by the government. They are prepared in cooperation with various ministries, municipalities and other state authorities that provide data, so the reports include all the relevant information on the use of rights by national minorities.

    In these two studies immigrant integration in the labour market and the educational system in Spain was analysed, comparing their situation to those who are native-born. The aim was to gather and map existing data sources to achieve comprehensiveness and facilitate access to data to researchers and other stakeholders, as well as to offer a quantitative analysis on these topics to inspire public policies.

    In 2018, the Croatian Government Office for Human Rights and Rights of National Minorities published a study collecting baseline data on the socio-economic position of the Roma community in order to monitor progress with respect to Roma inclusion and integration. The basis for the study was a mapping of the Roma population, combining external and self-identification methods, which gave a precise indication of the size of the Roma population in Croatia for the first time ever.

    Every two years, the Belgian Federal Public Service for Employment, Work and Social Dialogue and the Belgian equality body (Unia) link socio-economic data from various national databases to monitor developments with respect to equal opportunities for people with a migration background in the labour market. The latest research was published in a report in December 2017.

    The SOEP-LGB project has succeeded in integrating 1,077 lesbians, gays and bisexuals into the largest probability-based panel study in Germany. Moreover, by modifying the questionnaire on gender, the representation of gender diversity in the sample is ensured. This expansion of sexual and gender minority respondents will help advance research on the LGBTQI* population.

    In 2015, the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency of Germany (FADA) surveyed people affected by discrimination for an in-depth analysis of discrimination experiences. To enhance the validity and reliability of the survey, its design included possibilities for self-identification of respondents and measures to reach out to respondents from under-represented and/or hard-to-reach groups.
