    The project aims to improve the collection and processing of equality data in Belgium and to provide a centralised platform to improve accessibility and transparency.     The Irish National Disability Authority has developed a set of 58 indicators to measure progress against the National Disability Inclusion Strategy 2017-2021. The gathering of data identified within this indicator set is intended to: enhance the body of data available on disability; measure outcomes related to key disability actions and policies; and drive the collection of disability data in a timely and regular manner by mainstream departments and agencies.

    As a result of an Institutional Cooperation Agreement signed in 2015 by several Spanish ministries working on combating racism, xenophobia, LGBTIphobia and other forms of intolerance, these institutions are developing joint and coordinated actions to improve hate crime recording and data collection. One of the outputs emerging from this collaboration is the annual report on hate crime published by the Ministry of Interior.

    Since 2011, the Estonian Ministry of Culture, Department of Cultural Diversity has carried out the Integration Monitoring of the Estonian Society survey every three years to monitor trends in the integration of immigrants and ethnic minorities. It also covers perceptions on the state of equality and attitudes of Estonians and non-Estonians towards integration.

    The Inter-institutional working group on discrimination monitoring is a platform led by the Finnish Ministry of Justice to gain shared understanding on the need for equality data. This cooperation and exchange strengthens the capacity of different stakeholders and gradually mainstreams equality data collection into the regular duties of participating organisations.

    In 2018, Statistics Lithuania started developing a user-friendly interactive map on gender equality in 60 municipalities. This allowed equality between women and men to be monitored based on more than 40 indicators.

    For the first time, the Central Statistics Office of Ireland has developed and included questions on gender identity and sexual orientation in the module on equality of the Quarter 1 2019 General Household Survey. After assessing the responses, it is planned to include these questions in the future population census.

    In March 2018, the Italian National Statistical Institute (ISTAT) and the National Anti-Discrimination Office (UNAR) signed an agreement to carry out a comprehensive research on labour discrimination against LGBT+ people and entrepreneurial diversity management policies. The project involved LGBT+ stakeholders and associations in the research design, planned respondent outreach activities, and applied a multi-perspective and intersectional approach.
