On 4 July, Europol is hosting a conference in The Hague on inclusive practices in law Enforcement: protecting our diversity.

The conference marks Europol Diversity Day 2019 and will provide a unique opportunity to reflect on broad range of topics, including gender, LGBTI, multi-culturalism and disability.

The event will open with impulse presentations, looking into challenges and opportunities linked to diversity in law enforcement and presenting best practices developed by national authorities to foster inclusion in the police force.

Workshops will then foster discussions and provide concrete recommendations on how to be more inclusive in police daily practices. Participants will include Europol staff, representatives from national law enforcement agencies, partner organisations and civil society, as well as diversity contacts points from EU Institutions and EU Justice & Home Affairs Agencies.

The event is a unique occasion for FRA to build up contacts and networks feeding into FRA’s work on encouraging of (hate) crime reporting and preventing unlawful profiling.
