Experts discuss fundamental rights implications of facial recognition

Facial recognition technology has developed considerably over the past years resulting in a lot of discussion.

FRA has gathered experts and stakeholders to look at the fundamental rights implications of using facial recognition technology. During a workshop at the agency from 19 to 20 September, participants will represent policy, international organisations, academia, businesses and civil society.

The discussions will contribute to the finalisation of a FRA focus paper on the topic, due to be published towards the end of November 2019.
